How we got here

Every important physical system is becoming a computer, and most of them still depend on a distant cloud to discover one another, establish trust, exchange state, and prove what happened. That architecture fails exactly where those systems are most visible: in motion, in the field, behind contested links, during outages.

We got here the long way. We shipped Fernweh, a messenger that keeps working when the internet does not, and watched the network underneath it grow to 350,000+ cumulative devices in 140+ countries. Then we took the transport, identity, and coordination underneath it and made it a platform anyone can build on.

How mesh networking works

Devices coordinate directlyPhones, gateways, and hardware advertise, discover, and invoke each other with no server and no DNS. A device several hops away is reachable like a local endpoint.

How service discovery works

Privacy by architectureSessions are encrypted with MLS by default and keys never leave the device. Privacy is a property of how the system is built, not a policy layered on top.
